Highway 3 crash kills woman, sends 5 to hospital
Southbound vehicle hit shoulder, overcorrected, crossed into northbound traffic
A Winnipeg woman has died after a crash on Highway 3 south of Brunkild, Man. on Saturday.
Headingley RCMP were called after two vehicles collided around 5:30 p.m.
A 17-year-old girl was driving a vehicle southbound when it hit the shoulder, overcorrected and crossed into northbound traffic, hitting another vehicle.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 43-year-old man from Winkler, was taken to hospital. A 45-year-old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle died at the scene.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, along with three other female passengers aged 38, 11 and 13, were all taken to hospital in serious condition. They are all from Morden.
The investigation is ongoing.
