Three men were sent to hospital after a garage exploded Sunday in the town of St. Anne.
Fire chief Ken Dayment said all three men were inside the garage at the time of the blast, which happened at about 3:45 p.m.
"The garage door was blown right out. The garage wall was blown five feet out to the side, so it was a pretty big explosion," he said, adding it started a fire that also spread to the house.
"One of my neighbours is one of my firefighters and it shook his place. Yeah, and he is two houses over."
Dayment doesn't yet know what caused the explosion, but did say it was not a gas barbecue.
Damage is between $150,000 to $200,000.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner is investigating.
Ste. Anne is located about 40 kilometres southeast of Winnipeg.
