A man who operates an entertainment company that specializes in exotic dancers has entered the race for mayor of Winnipeg.
Michel Fillion is the the fifth candidate to seek the seat currently held by Sam Katz, who has yet to declare if he will seek re-election.
Fillion said he's never run for political office before but has "a dream of making the city beautiful and functional," including fixing Winnipeg's crumbling roads.
That's the No. 1 priority for people, according to his own survey.
Fillion is the co-owner and an agent for Superb Entertainment, a production company that provides DJs, live music, casino parties, children's parties, animal shows, magicians, comedians, hypnotists, psychics, and ventriloquists, as well as other things.
However, the majority of their work is booking exotic dancers, he said.
The other candidates for mayor include lawyer and former city Coun. Gord Steeves, lawyer Brian Bowman, businessman Mike Vogiatzakis, and blogger Gordon Warren.
