A former Winnipeg police officer is back in court this week, facing more sexual assault charges related to a modelling agency he ran as a side business.
Richard Dow, 57, was found not guilty last month of assaulting a female client during a photo shoot at his home in 2000.
Dow is now on trial on 27 additional charges. The Crown alleges he sexually assaulted or interfered with 20 different women between 2000 and 2005.
Dow has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. His lawyers tried to have all the charges thrown out last month, saying there were too many delays in getting the case to trial.
That application was denied and the case began Monday.
However, legal wrangling prevented witnesses from testifying that day. The trial resumes on Tuesday.
