Downtown Winnipeg crash sends 2 to hospital

A section of roads in downtown Winnipeg is blocked to traffic due to a crash that sent two people to hospital in unstable condition.

 Some roads in downtown Winnipeg were blocked to traffic Tuesday morning after a crash sent two people to hospital in unstable condition.

Two SUVs vehicles collided at Ellice Avenue and Carlton Street just before 7 a.m.

The intersection at Ellice and Carleton was completely shut down for about an hour traffic was diverted onto other roads.

Ellice was also closed in both directions between Hargrave and Edmonton streets.

The people who were hurt have since been upgraded to stable condition.
