Winnipeg police have released images of a woman they believe robbed a downtown Winnipeg bank on Thursday.

It happened at the Royal Bank in the 500 block of Main Street just after 3 p.m.

Police said a woman had been waiting in line and when it was her turn, she approached the teller and demanded money, suggesting she had a gun, although none was seen.

She was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left, police said.

Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect from surveillance video images.
