Discovery of man's body after house fire treated as homicide
RCMP at the Bloodvein First Nation in Manitoba are treating the discovery of a man's body following a weekend house fire as a homicide case.
Police say they were called to the blaze at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. When the fire was extinguished, the remains of a man were found.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday in Winnipeg.
Officers with the RCMP's major crime services and forensic identification services, as well as Manitoba's Office of the Fire Commissioner, are helping with the investigation.
