Emergency officials are asking motorists to proceed with caution after a crash in downtown Winnipeg that sent a pedestrian to hospital with serious injuries.
Police responded to St. Mary Avenue at Carlton Street Monday at about 4:10 p.m.
The pedestrian was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Emergency crews closed off all four westbound lanes on St. Mary Avenue near Carlton and asked drivers to plan their trips accordingly.
The cause of the crash hasn't been released.
Police previously told media that a cyclist was injured in the crash. On Monday evening, a police spokesperson said it had in fact been a pedestrian.Jul 17, 2017 8:54 PM CT
