A 70-year-old man has died after his bicycle was hit by a truck Monday on a Manitoba highway.

Highway 12, Manitoba

RCMP say the collision took place around 10 a.m. CT on Highway 12, less than a kilometre south of the Trans-Canada Highway near Ste. Anne, Man.

The cyclist, a 70-year-old man from Lorette, Man., was pronounced dead in hospital, RCMP said in a release.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Alcohol and speed are not considered to be factors in the crash, according to police.
