Cyclist dies after hit by truck in Manitoba
A 27-year-old man died after being hit by a pickup truck while cycling just east of Letellier, Man., on Sunday.
RCMP were called to Provincial Road 201 at about 7 p.m.
The cyclist, a man from Roseau River First Nation, was reported to have swerved in front of oncoming traffic when he was struck, RCMP said.
His name is not being released to the public.
The 50-year-old man who was driving the truck, and a 35-year-old woman passenger, were not injured. No charges are being considered at this time, RCMP said.
Letellier is located about 80 kilometres south of Winnipeg, just north of the Canada–U.S. border.
