Pedestrian hit by vehicle in downtown Winnipeg
Smith Street closed as police investigate
A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in downtown Winnipeg on Wednesday.
Emergency crews were called to Smith Street and York Avenue just after 6:30 a.m. All northbound traffic on Smith was blocked, starting at Broadway, for more than two hours and police tape surrounded the intersection.
Crumpled clothing was seen on the street and pylons were used to mark evidence.
Police have little information on the person's condition.
The streets reopened just before 9 a.m.
