A Winnipeg man is facing multiple charges after police uncovered a counterfeiting machine in a Yale Avenue home.
Police said they were tipped off when a man tried to pay a cashier in American money at a store in the 400 block of Portage Avenue on March 12.
The $20 bills turned out to be counterfeit, and a man was arrested at the scene.
Officers said they found numerous counterfeit Canadian and American bills on the man.
The next day, officers searched a home at Yale Avenue East and Wabasha Street and found a scanner, printer and laptop with counterfeit bills partially completed.
