A man and a woman face drug and weapons-related charges after RCMP seized marijuana and cocaine from a home north of Winnipeg over the weekend.
Selkirk RCMP say they executed a search warrant at a home in the Rural Municipality of St. Clements just after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Officers seized about 940 grams of cocaine and 71 kilograms of marijuana from the house, along with paraphernalia "consistent with that used for the trafficking of a controlled substance," police stated in a news release Tuesday.
Also seized were a large sum of money, four firearms and some other prohibited weapons, including bear spray and a Taser stun gun, according to RCMP.
A 43-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews, have been charged with possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possessing property obtained by crime, as well as weapons-related charges.
Both are in custody and were scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
