RCMP have laid 48 charges against 10 people after uncovering a cocaine trafficking ring in Morden and Winkler.
The arrests come after a lengthy investigation by RCMP and local law enforcement in the cities.
The bust, dubbed “Project Denver,” happened on Tuesday and included arrests in the neighbouring communities as well as Winnipeg. Additional charges were also laid against a man from Saskatchewan.
The people arrested range in age from 21 to 32, most of whom were men.
Officers are still looking for a 27-year-old Heinrech Wiebe of Winkler. He’s wanted in connection with two counts of trafficking cocaine.
