Winnipeg will soon lose one of its recycling depots.

The City of Winnipeg opened a new recycling depot at Panet Road and Mission Street on Monday.

The depot is set to replace two others.

The location at Ravelston Avenue and Chrislind Street closed permanently at the end of June, and another at Fermor Avenue and Lakewood Boulevard is set to close forever on Aug. 31.

The new Panet Road location will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will accept the same materials as the city’s existing curbside recycling collection program.

More information on Winnipeg’s recycling depots can be found on the City of Winnipeg website.
