Man charged after human remains found on Manitoba First Nation
A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the discovery of human remains on a First Nation in western Manitoba.
The remains were found on Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation, 169 kilometres northwest of Brandon, on July 1.
They have been identified as the remains of a 44-year-old Tootinaowaziibeeng man who died on June 21, RCMP said.
Rylan McKay, 23, is charged with second-degree murder.
Police have not said how the man died, but said he and McKay were known to each other.
The name of the dead man is not being released to the public, RCMP say.
