Car hits parked car, tree; 2 in hospital

Winnipeg police are investigating a crash that sent a car into a tree after it hit a parked vehicle early Monday morning.

Two people are in hospital after a crash that sent a car into a tree after it hit a parked vehicle early Monday morning.

Witnesses tell CBC around 2:30 a.m. a car was speeding down the 12 hundred block of Magnus Avenue when it slammed into the back of a parked car.

The parked car went flying down the street. The other vehicle then smacked into a tree in front of a house.

Both vehicles were left crumpled.

Witnesses said the five people inside the car scattered.

Two were picked up by ambulance a block away. There's no word on the severity of their injuries.

Police are investigating.
