Car, garage lost in fire on Winnipeg's Ness Avenue

Firefighters were able to stop a fire from spreading to a nearby house on Saturday night as they battled a large blaze in extreme cold weather.

Firefighters had their work cut out for them, battling a blaze in the extreme cold Saturday night.

The call to the double-detached garage on the 3100 block of Winnipeg's Ness Avenue on Saturday came in at 10:30 p.m.

The garage and a car that was inside of it were both lost in the blaze.

Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes and other garages.

The fire's cause is under investigation and at last word, there was no damage estimate.
