Cabin-goers beware: 7 cm of snow blanket Kenora
Winnipegger's hoping to head out to cabins in Northwestern Ontario for May Long may just miss snow
Much to the chagrin of Kenora residents and cabin-goers alike, on Tuesday morning the city saw nearly seven centimetres of snowfall.
Residents woke up to see snow blanketing backyards, cars, roads and houses in the Northwestern Ontario city bordering Lake of the Woods.
Mia van derKrabben with Lake of the Woods Marina has concerns boaters won't be able to take to the waters this May long weekend.
"It's just annoying that we still have to deal with the snow and all the cold when it should be nice and warm and sunny like it usually is on May long," said van der Krabben. "It's just white everywhere. We're just jokingly mad at Mother Nature, waiting for the sun to come out."
Rain fell later in the morning melting some of the snow.
