Bystander killed in downtown Winnipeg car crash

Winnipeg police say a 53-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car at Notre Dame and Isabel.

A female pedestrian, 53, was killed early Friday as a result of a multi-car crash in downtown Winnipeg.

Police said around 6 a.m. Friday two cars collided at Notre Dame Avenue and Isabel Street.

Police said at the time there were multiple injuries in the crash, and later confirmed that a female bystander died after being struck by one of the vehicles.

An investigation continues.
