Due to crummy weather set to hit the wheat city later this week, the City of Brandon has opted to fog ‘the entire city’ Wednesday evening.

City crews will start fogging around 10 p.m. Four trucks — two in the north and two in the south end of the city —  are being deployed simultaneously to apply malathion, a City of Brandon spokesperson said in a press release.

The city is only accepting buffer zone registrations until 7 p.m. Wednesday night. Those who have previously applied for buffer zone status in 2014 need not reapply.

The City of Brandon advised all residents to close their windows and doors during fogging, and said air conditioners should be "turned off or set at exhaust." Clothing and food should be taken indoors as well, the city said.

Brandonites can visit the city's website for more information on buffer zone applications.
