A 16-year-old boy is in custody facing a long list of weapons-related charges, police in Winnipeg say.
Officers — with back-up from the department's tactical support team — went to a home in the 600 block of Polson Avenue on Thursday with a search warrant. They were following up on a weapons investigation.
Inside the home they found a number of firearms, some of which had been modified in some way.
Among the weapons seized were:
- A . 22-calibre rifle (modified).
- A shotgun (modified).
- A large knife.
Police said the youth, who is now in custody at a detention facility, faces 15 charges in all.
