Folks were chowing down at Books2Eat at Millennium Library on Saturday.
It's the culmination of a competition between readers, chefs and food lovers to create "an edible piece of art."
The rules are simple: create something edible, inspired by words.
The deadline to enter was March 31. The eating and judging took place Saturday. It's the third year for the event.
Danielle Pilon, head of reader services at the Millenium Library, said all kinds of creations from everyone from experts to kids show up.
"It is a contest, but it's all in good fun," she said. "It's based on things like the funniest entry or the one closest to the book that inspired it, the best pun, all that kind of stuff."
Winners were to be announced Saturday afternoon.
