The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have acquired non-import punter Jamie Boreham from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for future considerations.

The 33-year-old Canadian kicker — a former University of Manitoba Bison — broke into the league with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2004, after originally being drafted by the B.C. Lions in 2001.

He spent three years with the TiCats, serving as both punter and placekicker before being traded to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2007 where he would spend the next three seasons.

He was dealt to the Toronto Argonauts in 2010 but released in the off-season, in February 2011. The Roughriders signed him in September 2011 but he had yet to appear in a game this season.

Boreham has played in 107 games throughout his eight-year career, punting 567 times for 23,230 yards (a 41-yard average).
