Assiniboine Park gets double-decker shuttle bus
Bus drove through London for over 30 years before arriving in Winnipeg
A touch of London is coming to the Assiniboine Park Zoo this summer.
The Assiniboine Park Conservancy is introducing a free shuttle for visitors in the form of a large, red double-decker bus that previously drove through the streets of London for over 30 years.
The bus will offer visitors a free on-off service and stop at a number of locations throughout the park.
The bus was donated by retired senator Douglas Everett and his wife Patty, who purchased the bus in London shortly after London phased out their fleet of Routemaster buses in 2005.
The bus will make stops at the park’s conservatory, pavilion, family centre and zoo entrance.
