Winnipeg police are looking for suspects in a suspected arson started more than a week ago in the toy department of a Real Canadian Superstore.
Fire crews were called to the grocery retailer on 1385 Sargent Ave. around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 23.
The Superstore was closed for hours following the fire, as fans blew smoke out of the building.
Investigators have since determined that the fire was an act of arson that started in the store's toy department, police said in a news release Tuesday.
Damage from the fire and smoke is estimated at $600,000.
Anyone with information about the fire — or whomever may have started it — is asked to contact police investigators at (204) 986-6813 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
