Arrest warrant issued for teen in Winnipeg slaying
Winnipeg police issue warrant for first-degree murder in Johnny G’s fatal shooting
Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a Winnipeg teen wanted for first degree murder.
Morgan Van Bone, 19, is wanted in connection with the shooting-death of 24-year-old William Edward Moar.
Moar was killed at a Main Street restaurant on Feb. 15.
Two people have already been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting, including a 15-year-old Winnipeg boy who was found in Calgary and had to be transported back to Winnipeg.
The other, 22-year-old Akech Dut Ajak, was arrested and charged in Winnipeg on March 8.
Before his death, Moar was well-known to police, and in 2009 he was charged with aggravated assault along with four others following a vicious beating of 19-year-old man in a West Broadway parking lot.
Winnipeg police said the homicide unit has been investigating the case since the shooting, and now Bone is wanted for first-degree murder.
Police are asking the public for information on where Bone might be, but said he should not be approached if he is located. Instead, police said to call investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 207-786-8477.
