Hundreds of people turned out to enjoy an Easter dinner Good Friday at Siloam Mission.
By mid-day the downtown Winnipeg soup kitchen had served about 850 meals of turkey, stuffing and pie.
Dozens of volunteers from a group that represents Manitoba real estate agents and brokers served the crowd.
CBC's Kiran Dhillon reported that many of the people she talked to said if it wasn't for Siloam Mission, they'd have nowhere to go for Easter.
She said people told her the annual event gives them a sense of community and hope.
