A fifth man has been charged in connection to the beating death of 16-year-old Paris Rene Cameron Bruce last month in Winnipeg.

Colin Ray Monkman, 18, was located and arrested on Wednesday and has been charged with manslaughter.

He remains in police custody.

Police found Bruce suffering injuries from what they described as a serious assault, on the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue on Sept. 4.

He died three days later in hospital.

Police have previously said they believe the case is tied to a confrontation between rival street gangs.

Previously charged are Michael James Guimond, 34, Richard Daniel Beaulieu, 36, Warner Dairren Flett, 24, and Gregory James Myerion, 37.

All have been charged with manslaughter.

The investigation is continuing by members of the police service's homicide unit.
