3 teen girls recovering after highway crash east of Winnipeg

Three teenage girls are recovering after being hit by a vehicle while walking alongside a highway southeast of Winnipeg.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Highway 206, near the community of Mitchell in the Rural Municipality of Hanover, just after 6 p.m. Monday.
One of the girls was flown by STARS air ambulance to a hospital in Winnipeg while the other two were taken to hospital by ambulance.
On Tuesday, RCMP updated the condition of the girls, saying one is in stable condition, another is stable with a broken leg and the third has been released from hospital.
The driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries. RCMP said alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
