2nd teen arrested in Winnipeg shooting death
Winnipeg police have made a second arrest in connection with the homicide of Darren Paul George.
Chance Moses Guimond, 19, was arrested Jan. 19 in Calgary.
Homicide investigators from the Winnipeg Police Service are making arrangements to have him returned to Winnipeg.
He is facing charges of second-degree murder for the death of George, 22, who was shot in the back of the head on Dec. 7.
The other accused in the case, Cody Joseph Kakeeway, 18, was arrested Jan. 14 when RCMP stopped a vehicle just east of Swift Current, Sask. He is also charged with second-degree murder.
George was found lying in the lane between Beverley Street and Toronto Street, near Wellington Avenue, in Winnipeg's West End.
He was rushed to hospital but taken off life support the next day.
