Two people are dead and three others are in hospital following a head on collision Saturday afternoon on Highway 3 just south of Brunkild, Man.

RCMP said a northbound vehicle driven by a 22-year-old man drifted into the southbound lane, swiped one vehicle, and then hit another coming from behind head on.

STARS air ambulance was dispatched to the scene just before 4 p.m. CT.

The 22-year-old Winnipeg man and a 48-year-old man from Hochfeld, Man. died in the crash.

Two adults and a child were taken to hospital in critical condition.

No names have been released as RCMP are continuing to investigate the crash.

Brunkild is about 50 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.
