A man, woman and young child managed to escape a burning house in St. Georges, Man. on Sunday.

RCMP said a blaze broke out in a home in the area around 4 a.m., and a 21-year-old man, 27-year-old woman and an 18-month-old girl all escaped.

Crews were able to extinguish the blaze by about 7 a.m.

All three people who got out were taken to a Winnipeg hospital to treat non-life-threatening injuries.

The office of the fire commissioner is heading to the community to assist with the investigation, but Powerview RCMP said it does not appear the fire is suspicious.
