A 17-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a car at Regent Avenue and Lagimodiere Boulevard in Winnipeg.

A 17-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a car at Regent Avenue and Lagimodiere Boulevard in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg police said the boy was hit around 12 a.m. Wednesday and rushed to hospital in critical condition.

He later died.

The area was closed to traffic after the crash and reopened around 6:30 a.m.
