15 cars broken into during crime spree in Winnipeg
Two people have been arrested after 15 vehicles were broken into in Winnipeg's Fort Rouge and Fort Garry neighbourhoods.
The crime spree started on Tuesday just after 12 a.m. and went until about 4 a.m., when an 18-year-old man and 15-year-old boy were arrested in the area of Stafford Street and Garwood Avenue.
The 18-year-old is charged with 14 counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of mischief.
The 15-year-old is charged with 15 counts of theft under $5,000, 17 counts of failing to comply with a previous court undertaking, two counts of mischief and one count of theft over $5,000.
The boy has been detained in custody at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
The man has been released from custody on a promise to appear in court.
