A 13-year-old girl from Denare Beach, Sask., has been arrested as part of an RCMP investigation into vehicles set on fire in Flin Flon, which straddles the border between Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Police said the girl will face a list of charges, including robbery with intent, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of mischief and two counts of theft. She is being held in custody.
RCMP said early Saturday morning, they received a report of two vehicle fires behind a local business in Flin Flon, which police determined were arson.
Shortly afterwards, a local resident reported that two people were trying to steal a pickup truck from a yard. The owner intervened, was assaulted, and the two female suspects ran off.
A 16-year-old Flin Flon, Manitoba, girl is already facing a number of charges as well.
