Two people in hospital after Springbank Drive shooting
Paramedics say one of the victims has serious injuries
Two people were taken to hospital after a shooting in southwest London Wednesday night.
Emergency crews were called to 359 Springbank Drive, near Seawood Ave., around 10 pm.
Paramedics say two people were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries.
Police say one of the victims had a gunshot wound and the second sustained minor injuries as a result of an altercation.
Investigators say three males entered the home, each armed with a weapon. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
They are described as follows:
Male, black, approximately 6'5", thin build, wearing a black toque, black clothing and a yellow jacket
Male, white, in his 20s, slim build, approximately 5'5", wearing a black jacket with a hood
Male, indigenous, in his 20s, medium build, approximately 5'8", wearing a black face mask.
A 'targeted' attack
Investigators say they believe this was a targeted attack and that others in the neighbourhood are not at risk.
Early Thursday, police taped off the two homes adjacent to 359 Springbank. There are drops of blood on the wooden steps of the two storey home and a small pool of blood on the sidewalk.
The investigation has been turned over to the Major Crime Section.
