London home sales down again in September

London home sales took a nearly 10 per cent tumble last month as the real estate market continued its cooling trend in September.

646 single detached were sold in September, down nearly 10 per cent from the same time in 2016

Home sales in London and St. Thomas fell by nearly 10 per cent in September as the area's real estate market continued its cooling trend last month. 

The London St. Thomas Association of realtors said 646 single-detached homes were sold in September, down 9.8 per cent from last year.

Condo sales by contrast had a slight bump, up four per cent from the same month last year to 156 in September. 

The average sales price for the area was also down slightly last month, down one per cent from August to $318,347 while the average year-to-date sales price is still up 17.8 per cent above last year's average home price of $279,057.
