Freezing rain warning continues Sunday for London area

The freezing rain warning that started Saturday will continue through Sunday afternoon.

Environment Canada says expect ice pellets and rain, but little snow accumulation

A freezing rain warning for the London area will continue through Sunday afternoon.

Environment Canada issued the warning for the following areas:

  • London - Parkhill - Eastern Middlesex County
  • Strathroy - Komoka - Western Middlesex County

"Although the freezing rain will likely persist for several hours today, ice accumulations are expected to limited to a few millimetres at most as the freezing rain should be fairly light," the weather agency posted on its website.

The weather warnings started at around noon on Saturday.

Much of southwestern Ontario was under an advisory with some locations getting heavy snow.
