The eastbound lanes of Highway 402 near Strathroy have re-opened after a morning closure caused by a serious crash.
Two people received serious injuries, with one person airlifted to hospital, after the five-car pileup on eastbound Highway 402 at Hickory Drive.
OPP said Wednesday that eastbound lanes were closed at about 8:30 a.m.
The highway reopened just after 12:30 p.m.
Both of the people injured in the crash were rushed to London's Victoria Hospital in serious condition.
"It appears that a collision occurred when a commercial motor vehicle rear-ended a second vehicle and that began a chain-reaction involving a total of five vehicles involved," said OPP Const. Max Gomez Wednesday.
