Witnesses sought in crash that killed Cambridge man Allen Green

Police are asking for witnesses in a Cambridge crash that killed 89-year-old Allen Green.

Waterloo Regional Police have identified the man who died in a collision on Friday as 89-year-old Allen Green of Cambridge and have asked witnesses to come forward.

Green's vehicle, a 2012 Ford Fusion, was hit in a T-bone collision on Friday afternoon at the busy intersection of Coronation Boulevard and Island View, police said.

Waterloo Regional Police said Green had driven into the intersection from Island View to make a left-hand turn when his car collided with a 2014 Ford Fusion travelling southbound on Coronation Boulevard.

Green was taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital, where he died due to his injuries.

The other driver, a 28-years-old, sustained minor injuries and was able to take himself to the hospital.

Both vehicles were severely damaged in the collision.

Police are still asking witnesses to come forward to aid the investigation.
