When Brenda Perak realized her mother Charlotte Anstett needed more intensive care, she decided she would have her come live at her home in Kitchener rather than be placed in a long term care facility.

However, with a full time job as well as a husband and teenagers in the house, Perak knew her family could not take care of her mother without help.

Perak spoke to the CBC’s Matthew Kang about how the Waterloo Wellington CCAC has helped her make this option possible.
