Waterloo Region remembers David Bowie online

Local musicians and leaders shared their memories of David Bowie online. The iconic musician died late Sunday night.

News that musical icon David Bowie died at age 69 from cancer shot around the world Monday. Bowie passed away late Sunday night. 

Here in Waterloo Region, musicians and local leaders shared their memories. Above, a phote from Waterloo Mayor Dave Jaworsky, who put a Bowie record on this morning in remembrance.

Waterloo's Danny Michel made an entire album of Bowie covers, called Loving the Alien. Michel said on Twitter he posted this photo to Instagram before he'd heard the news of Bowie's death.
