Waterloo drive-by egging leaves woman with major eye injury
A woman in her 20s has suffered extensive damage to her right eye after she was struck by an egg thrown out of a passing white car in Waterloo on Friday night.
The woman and her friend were walking along Hickory Street West near King Street North at around 11:30 p.m. when they were both struck with a barrage of raw eggs, Waterloo Regional Police said. The second woman was also hit in the face, but was not injured.
The woman with the injured eye is now waiting for the swelling to go down before seeing another doctor.
Police believe there were four males in the vehicle described as an older model, four-door, small and white in colour.
The four males face possible charges of aggravated assault. Police are asking people with information to call the Waterloo Regional Police Services, North Division at 519-653-7700, extension 6399.
