Victoria Road North in Guelph reopens after 'emergency repairs'

Victoria Road North reopens after almost three weeks of "emergency repairs" after a sinkhole caused the roadway to collapse between Goldenview Drive and Conservation Drive in the City of Guelph.

Victoria Road North between Goldenview Drive and Conservation Drive in Guelph reopened Friday following a three-week closure for 'emergency repairs' after a large sinkhole caused part of the roadway to collapse.

The collapse happened on May 24 and was caused by an opening in the culvert beneath the road.

City staff have spent almost three weeks replacing the culvert and resurfacing the road, according to a release from the City of Guelph.
