A local advocacy group, Tri--Cities Transport Action Group, or TriTag, is launching a series of Ion LRT station buttons.
The buttons are modeled after Toronto and Montreal subway tile buttons and each of the 19 buttons will include the name and colour scheme of each future LRT station stop.
There's also a special edition University of Waterloo button featuring a Canada goose.
TriTag launched the button campaign on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo and is hoping to raise $5,000. The money will help the group incorporate as a not-for-profit, support its website, and help fund public awareness campaigns on local transit and transportation issues.
The buttons can purchased as an entire set, or can be bought in neighbourhood sets, too - the "Downtown" set includes five stops located in downtown Kitchener.
