The Grand River Conservation Authority will forecast the spring melt today and whether or not to expect flooding.

This comes during a tough winter for Waterloo Region, with much of the snow that's fallen sticking around.

Right now, about half a metre of snow is on the ground but predicted rains are expected to melt it away on Thursday and Friday.

At 7:10 we'll hear from Kitchener's director of building, Mike Seiling.

He'll have some tips on how to keep your basement from becoming an indoor swimming pool.
