Canine unit, 2 helicopters searched for girl who went missing in cornfield
A two-year-old girl who went missing after she was playing in a cornfield with a group of children in a town north of London, Ont., has been found, police say.
Ontario Provincial Police said the girl was found around 10:30 a.m. by a local property owner in a bean field next to the cornfield. The girl is reported to be in good health but has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police said the girl and a group of children were playing Tuesday night in the field near a home east of Centralia, about 40 kilometres from London.
When the children returned home, the two-year-old was unaccounted for.
Police haven't released her name.
