Waterloo Regional Police performed raids on two Kitchener residences Wednesday, seizing a large quantity of drugs and several firearms.

The first search happened at 5:30 a.m. at 170 Chandler Drive, and the second took place at 2:30 p.m. at 428 Lancaster Street West.

The weapons seized included number of sawed-off shotguns, a .44-calibre Magnum revolver and a Taser. Body armour was also found.

Police say they also found $28,500 worth of ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine.

Three men and one woman all in their 20s have been charged with a long list of weapons and drug related offences.
