Police seize 40 pounds of pot, $40K in Cambridge bust

Waterloo Regional police seized around 40 pounds of marijuana and $40,000 in cash from an apartment in Cambridge on Wednesday.

Police say the bust was part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Police executed a search warrant just after 6:00 a.m. Wednesday at apartment building at the intersection of King Street E. and Eagle Street S. where they found the pot, worth an estimated $48,000 on the street.

Two Kitchener men, aged 36 and 29, are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
